"24 Peaces" needs your help

Hello,

I am seeking your help. Until now, I have been a on a one man mission to produce the '24 Peaces' project. Now, I seek your help.

I created '24 Peaces' to empower humanities' possibility for peace in an artistic and monumental way. I am committed to that now more than ever and I would like to start sharing that journey with you. I am looking to complete the project within the next 2 years. The first 2 years have produced 4 peacemakers, which I am grateful for, but am confident… Continue

I am Not Anti-America, I am Just Pro-Human

There seems to be enough resources, that if we innovate, and conserve what we have, there would plenty to go around. I think we should share. To many, that makes me anti-American, a socialist, a communist, a hippie dirt bag, etc.

I work in the world of philosophy, I preach potentially, and it saddens me to admit that my pets eat better than children in third-world countries. There has to be a better way to distribute the world’s resources. If we could only focus on that instead of killing… Continue

Loving Peace

Dear Friends,

It is in the stillness of our heart that we find the peace we seek in the world. It is the connection deep within to the very source of our being where we recognize the oneness of life. It is here that we transcend the duality of perceived right and wrong thinking, judgment, control and attachment. In this awareness, we let go of the need to have the world behave according to our preconceived expectations and we dare to love unconditionally. We embrace love for love’s… Continue

Steadfast Flame ~ Peace the 21st

"In the end, the shadow is but a passing thing...." from J.R.R. Tolkien

The Shadow Dancer image: This image is on a card I bought in a London, Hempstead Heath, gallery nearly 20 years ago. It names Tom Merrifield as the photographer. It was a photograph of an extraordinary sculpture that was there in the gallery that day. This shadow dancer woman stilled me to my core.

Promoting World Peace through Responsible Mass Communications

A world sans frontiers where man works for the welfare of man

should be the ultimate aim of humanity itself

While such is a tall order, it is not impossible at all.

I believe that the mass media have the capacity to play a leading role in attaining a world of peace through responsible mass communications.

“In 1945, the United Nations put a premium in its charter the purpose of maintaining international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective and… Continue

Gratitude for being alive

Author

Karla Solano

Living life with gratitude can be very humbling and rewarding. Taking the time to actually notice how blessed we are to be alive, to be able to wake up every morning and enjoy a beautiful sunny day, or to be able to connect with people by just giving them a smile and make eye contact or exchange a kind word.

We get so hung up in the midst of the daily stress that we often forget how wonderful our lives really are. Days and nights go by sometimes… Continue

What About YOU?

Have you stopped to think about you? About what YOU want? Not what you think others want, but what YOU truly want? Well, start now. No one is going to think about what YOU want, except for YOU.

A lot of people don't think of what they want. They think about what other people want. They may think that they are thinking about what they want, but they would be wrong.

Too many times when thinking about what we want, we let other's opinions factor in on what we think we are… Continue

It's time to think positively

When you start to think positively you open up so many doors in your world.

It's not easy, but it CAN be done. I'm sure you have several years of programming to re-program. With doing a little bit each day, soon you will be on the road to being positive all the time.

Start with some positive affirmations. One very powerful one is:

I am Whole

I am Perfect

I am Strong

I am Healthy

I am Harmonious

I am Happy

These are the main… Continue

Kelli Jacobson and "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne - A Review

It was Valentine's Day 2009 and my husband and I had gone out to an early dinner, gone over and gotten our movie tickets, but still had time to spare. So, we walked over to the bookstore and I immediately went to the New Age section to just browse. I never buy books in a bookstore because I can always go home and get on Amazon.com and get them cheaper. However... this day was different.

I was browsing all the books in the section and my eyes kept coming back to The Secret by… Continue

The Secret Laws

There's a secret law or even laws?

Why, yes there is!

For centuries, many have understood these laws, but did not want to reveal them to the masses. They wanted to keep all the power to themselves. Now, it is no longer that way. The laws are being revealed and the masses are benefiting from them!

The main secret law is the Law of Attraction.

You are what you think. You are constantly attracting what you think about. A lot is attracted on a… Continue

New! Just finished the first series on honoring, Global Village Women

It's all about honoring and appreciating women, mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend, grand daughter, grandma. This is meant as a random act of kindness that will created and promote another act of kindness. The $5 profit on the paintings just covers the paint. One dollar for each sale will be donated to honoring a women or a women's group to support women.

I am very excited and happy to do this as an artist. If you have a womens group in mind for the donation to go to, or even a… Continue

Music On A Mission

As an artist, it is my goal to illuminate, enlighten and somehow show the way to a more positive, harmonious and healthy outlook on life. Ever since I was a child I have been acutely aware of music and its power and influence. As I think back to pivotal points in my life growing up, I realize that there has been a soundtrack that corresponds to every milestone that I have passed, and that certain songs have helped to shape the way I think and feel about things as it relates to my fellow human… Continue

Eternal Art

Eternal Art

But art exists unto itself

For it’s own purpose

It is an entity we create

To explain ourselves

Like life art is messy

it doesn’t have rules

From the first scribbling of a child

To the greatest master

It is a force not by us

Art moves through us

Eventually through others

It rips a hole in time

Bending our emotions it

Never stops it only comes out in

Other forms

We cry art

We eat… Continue

Thanking Dad.

Dad, here I am back again, now to thank You.
There aren't enough words, Dad, to do such a task.
There aren't enough brights, to shy back our shinning shies.
You gave me all, and let only to me one task, thanking You, and this is the impossible task.
Words, Dad... there are not enough words to describe, nor to thank life for our ... passage around here.
Beauty... infinit... those are our jobs: admire Your work all around our blinded eyes.
