The Shadow Dancer image: This image is on a card I bought in a London, Hempstead Heath, gallery nearly 20 years ago. It names Tom Merrifield as the photographer. It was a photograph of an extraordinary sculpture that was there in the gallery that day. This shadow dancer woman stilled me to my core.

I have today uploaded a brand new song; Steadfast Flame at the urging of my Maggi Moon sister.

Our mother is now 81 years old.

At the tender age of 16, with War in Europe raging and bombs falling on Glasgow, my mother was out in the Scottish countryside, evacuated to her grandmother's cottage.

One dark morning she was beating the mats on the washing line in a state of high distress, having been wrongly accused of writing a letter of complaint to her mother, from whom she was separated. Right then, as she wept bitterly, she heard a voice, she has described as seeming to be about 18 inches from the top of her head; "When the crooked things are straightened and the dark things are made plain...."

She gasped and instantly rejoined "You ARE There...You CAN Hear..... Then I'll give you my life, and serve you unto death.." And that was her life-vow to what I have now named Her 'Washing Line Guide'

Transcending all religion, the voice used the language she knew and was raised with.

Many many years later, my mother saw a poster that again took her breath away. It was an image of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the quote "When the crooked things are straightened...." That poster has remained on my mother's bedroom wall to this day.

Si I offer this hymn~song at the fire of humanity on Peace the 21st..
And as a profound Thank-You and Tribute to my own Mother who acquiesced to stick around, through thick & thin(!), to celebrate with us our Sweet Arriving.

*The broom:
Our old Irish grandfather (not by blood but by Faith) was wont to use the phrase "like trying to keep the tide out with a broom"

And...the grain of mustard seed..; Her Faith, Our Faith that we would, that we could, emerge into a New Day.

This Summer we have Indeed 'Crossed the Bar'. "to the 3rd and 4th generation" (as my own Maternal Grandfather put it) now with all the emergent signs of vibrant life & happy thriving and this wellbeing/grace state showing up across the board, in every creed,color & configuration.
