I don't like painting what I see physically. I just start painting and let it come to me. It's a guidance, as if someone else was painting and using my hand for the brush. They never turn out the way I expect, which is what makes it so much fun for me. I hope that I can inspire someone or move them with what I paint. That is my greatest joy as an artist. The inspiration for my art comes from my Grandmothers who led me through gardens, taught me of spiritual love, and speak to me still from the…

Has anyone ever taken the Meyers-Briggs personality type test? Its a very accurate test that can help you understand yourself better. I happen to be an INFP, which stands for Introverted, iNtuitiion, Feeling, and Percieving,
But all the possibilities are Introvert, or Extravert, Intuition or Sensing, Feeling, or Thinking, and Percieving or Judging. Ever since I found out about these my life has improved greatly. Me and my sister (she's an INFJ) talk for hours about people's personality.…

With everything that's happening in this world, I want to make a contribution to ending prejudice. I want to make friends with more people. Race, religon, sexuality and other lifestyles doesn't matter. I respect the person and their thoughts as well as their beliefs. I want to make peace with people from around the world and hope to start a friendship with them as well. Anyone up for that?

Love
the big scary word
four letters
thrown so freely around
my love
flows freely
freely given
no expectations
rules roles
or masks
this is how I am
I have to be
or I would not love me
not be free
fear of love lost
is to high a cost
why is this so
just let it go
like the wild thing it is

enraptured captured
bound and unbound
catch and release my breathe
rebirth pyre
master sire
bend me to your will
sensuous soul
your in control
I am revived alive
intensified fired
a sculpture
in your golden hands
glazed gloss
grazed across
my being unfeigned
your essence
encompassing
gently embracing
linger longer in my dreams

Divine Order
In this moment, a divine plan is unfolding in my life.
There may be times when events in my life just do not seem to make sense. I may question why something happened or how I ended up in my present circumstances.
With an increasing understanding of divine order, however, I realize that when my attention is focused solely on myself and my world of experiences, I am not seeing the whole picture. As I expand my vision through the lens of spiritual understanding, I take…

After speaking at the kick off for a Season for Nonviolence where two World Flags were given out as awards to heros of peace and non-violence in our local community I feel blessed by our diversity.
January 30 - April 4, is a national 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. Inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr.…

But I already have a bunch, and there are children in West Papua that don't even get a decent education.
So I took my daughter to the store today and spent my shoe money on school supplies for three little girls in West Papua. Next week we will send them, and those little girls will have some supplies that they desperately need for school.
One step at a time....

By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN.
In February 2002, I traveled to Saudi Arabia and interviewed the then crown prince, now king, Abdullah, at his Riyadh horse farm. I asked him why the next Arab summit wouldn’t just propose to Israel full peace and normalization of relations, by all 22 Arab states, for full withdrawal from all occupied lands and creation of a Palestinian state. Abdullah said that I had read his mind (“Have you broken into my desk?” he…

In thinking about the growth of my understanding of society and identity, I have delved deep within the grasps of insanity. Reaching within myself, through agony and happiness, time and time again, I have stared myself blankly at my own face absentmindedly. The vicissitude of my deeper understanding in my true identity was an arduous path that was clouded by temporary upbringings, which defocused me from the present, holding onto my history, which falsely defined me, and wishful goals,…

Shrapnel of deceit multiply across the room
Deadly, sharp pieces envelope the air
Seeing the demise of another's doing
As only a few pierce into my body
Pain coercing through my nerves
Into my vertebrae where my brain feels the sensations
Illusionary pain brought into reality
Quickly born but ever so slowly dying
Lies told by a million mouths
But only a few find their way deep into my skin
Distorting my very truthful…
