Loves grows silently
like the blossom on the ground,
like a rainbow,
born out of the storm
like
that moment ,
just before dawn
Love reaches
without bounds
feathers out and
stretches beyond words
lightly touching ready hearts to join
and sweetly whispering
to hearts asleep yet
Love waits , as spring does for winter
as mother does for child
as ocean…

I sit and reminisce
and admit
how I ran from you for years
looking for happiness
and bliss.
I hide from you in denial,
in tears
afraid of you
afraid to become you
afraid to acknowledge you
but for years you chased me,
patiently
and faithfully .
Always waiting for me to look at you
embrace you,
become you,
forever in my search for bliss,
I refused you.
Still…

I collapse into reality
a thousand pieces of me becoming the wind
illuminated
free
electricity
soaring through the cosmos
with you (and you and you and you)
colors of purple, silver, white and blue
stars ...
light .....
effortless flight ,
dissolving.
blending to whole again,
encompassing the skies ,
drifting
peacefully
Until i open my eyes ,
crash back into the…

There is an ancient Chinese parable that goes a little like this:-
There was an old man living in a rural village who owned a very beautiful and well trained horse.
Everybody who saw the horse wanted it for their own, and before long, word about the magnificent animal had spread to the emperor, who promptly sent a messenger to the old man's village with a request to purchase the horse for an extremely large sum of money. The old man politely thanked the messenger but…

Collective thought has gotten us where we are-
if you believe thoughts are energy.
Turn those thoughts from dark to light,
and the light they produce will be brilliant.

Hello,
There are new photos of the Brockton Fair on my page. Although I love the animals I visited, I was overcome with such a
deep, profound sadness. The energy I surrounding me was almost surreal- I felt 'caged' as the animals were- so far removed from their natural elements. I didn't expect this feeling to be so strong, but it was. It may sound crazy, or 'out there', but that's okay because it's who I am. If you view my…

I admit it, I’m holier-than-thou when it comes to what I feed my six-year-old son, Sam. Organic everything, filtered water, wheat not white. In fact, I’d assumed that my record as a well-informed, health-conscious mother was just about impeccable. But then a chance conversation with my sister-in-law sent me into a tailspin.
“Knowing what I know…

Do you ever have that feeling in your stomach like something in your life needs to change ? Or there is a time that comes within your life when you wonder ..... why am I in the position I am in and how can I make it better for me ? It is a difficult thing to do and something that takes time to be able to fix and a battle that has to be won not only by your psyche but your heart. A lot of people in this world work their butts off and try to make ends meet and somehow they are never able to. I…

As much as I have written about war and peace over the years, I have never heard of this one... The story speaks for itself... wonder if it also has to do with the huge percentage of soldiers families who are so poor they are on food stamps?
WASHINGTON - Children of U.S. military troops sought outpatient mental health care 2 million times last year - double the number at the start of the Iraq war.
There was also an alarming spike in the number of military kids…

I wrote this poem when Bush was about to invade Iran. I majored in Military Intelligence, and was doing some consulting at the time with... well, that's confidential... but trust me, they were close... I am putting it up here now because poem seems all the more relevant with the Iranian protests in full swing.

When did we vote to say that the government can listen to every conversation
monitor every line of type that flows from our fingers?
Did I miss that ballot box?
Where is the politician who is supposed to damn this intrusion?
Jimmy Stewart all alone and proud and indignant got voted out
After the Lobbyiests gave someone else the money to get elected
occasionally the media creates a camelot
to siphon the steam off our dreams
before we…

Disturbed
Distraught
Desperate
Monday morning news gives a solemn count of the weekend murders
between jokey weather and sports
TEN shot DEAD over the Fourth of July in Chicago
They show the relatives hugging and crying
images of yellow police tape and cops in bulky, blue body armor
the smiles come back as another story rolls around
can't be too negative on the morning show
I picture their…

It is a great mystery that though the human heart longs for Truth, in which alone it finds liberation and delight, the first reaction of human beings to Truth is one of hostility and fear!

I wrote this shortly after 9-11. I believe the message applies to the entire planet- our children must feel safe and live in a world filled with peace.
Sometimes the world we live in is uncertain-in a moment what's known can slip away. And we feel as we walk among the ruin-our hope dwindle as we greet the coming day. Faces full of tears, such pain and desperation-you can almost feel it blowing in the air. Clouds billowing, a cold and sad…

When people are asked to list all the qualities they look for in friends and partners they seldom list consistency.
People list kindness, decency, honorability, loyalty, empathy and compassion.
But after all what are any of these without consistency?
Kindness is worthless if you are not consistently kind...
What good is decency if it is an only occasional occurrence...
Wavering loyalty is not loyalty at all...
Inconsistency…

Relationships are intense!
When we open our hearts and desires to another person we become extremely vulnerable and a little anxious about how safe and secure we are. Relationships put us into a natural head-space of either complete surrender or total defense- depending on our past. There is so much happening on the spiritual and energetic levels when we walk the path of relationships, and I think that understanding some of these subtle dynamics can help ensure things go forward in…
