Quest For Peace

The song you are hearing, (to hear this song, just click here and my profile page will open- Quest For Peace will begin playing automatically), Quest For Peace, was composed and played by my mother, Marlane T. DuBois. It is a visionary song. It is her heart speaking out, through the Universal Language...music.

This song tells a story. Listen...and you will hear it.

Oasis of Peace - Neve Shalom - Wahat al-Salam

(ne-vé shal-om / waah-at i-sal-aam: Hebrew and Arabic for Oasis of Peace [Isaiah 32:18]): A village, jointly established by Jewish and Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel, that is engaged in educational work for peace, equality and understanding between the two peoples.

A Baby's Cry Among The Ruin

I wrote this shortly after 9-11. I believe the message applies to the entire planet- our children must feel safe and live in a world filled with peace.

Sometimes the world we live in is uncertain-in a moment what's known can slip away. And we feel as we walk among the ruin-our hope dwindle as we greet the coming day. Faces full of tears, such pain and desperation-you can almost feel it blowing in the air. Clouds billowing, a cold and sad…

The most important virtue... CONSISTENCY

When people are asked to list all the qualities they look for in friends and partners they seldom list consistency.

People list kindness, decency, honorability, loyalty, empathy and compassion.

But after all what are any of these without consistency?

Kindness is worthless if you are not consistently kind...

What good is decency if it is an only occasional occurrence...

Wavering loyalty is not loyalty at all...

Inconsistency… Continue

♥ A Deeper Look At The Energy Of Relationships ♥ +Spiritual Tips To Creating Success!

Relationships are intense!

When we open our hearts and desires to another person we become extremely vulnerable and a little anxious about how safe and secure we are. Relationships put us into a natural head-space of either complete surrender or total defense- depending on our past. There is so much happening on the spiritual and energetic levels when we walk the path of relationships, and I think that understanding some of these subtle dynamics can help ensure things go forward in… Continue

God's Rose

I took a lengthy walk today thinking I was alone.

I walked so fast I did not see the trees, the sky, the stones.

Something inside began to warm a place within my heart.

A voice began to speak to me- and it began to start.

Although the footsteps I could hear were certainly my own;

I know there was another set upon the open road.

It was as if another one was walking by… Continue

What Makes Friends So Special

Friends: What makes friends so special is how they come to a mutual

understanding of the truth. Friends care enough to dig through any rubble

causing disharmony- restoring harmony. Friends are devoted and true to

each other. Friendship endures the most violent of storms, and finds

itself resting in the sun, on the softess of grass.

Religion and Animal Cruelty

I my opinion one of the main reasons that animal cruelty is still rife in today's modern society is because of religion. The main religions of today's modern world all put man above animals by proclaiming that Beasts/Animals do not have souls. Whether this is to justify animal sacrifice or the consumption of meat or enslaving animals to do mans bidding.

By elevating man above animals this encourages acts to be committed on animals that would be a criminal offence if committed to… Continue

Perfection in the Imperfect

Perfection in the Imperfect By: Debbie Milam

www.bestyoucanbe.org

What a wake up call nature provided for my heart today. After several days of my children bickering, acting out, pushing my buttons, triggering my inner child and other assorted adolescent antics I was deep in crazed parent mode. I completely stepped out of every positive parenting practice that I have not… Continue

Are we being set up for another invasion in the name of Democracy?

I replied to somebody's discussion elsewhere on this site. I think it worthwhile to publish this as a blog. Reactions please...

I'm sorry to be a downer on such a well-intentioned discussion, BUT

a) Where do you get this idea that the first shot fired in the American War of Independence was "the beginning of a new age in human history"???

This is the kind of USA-centred view of History, as if the USA were the inventors of all that is good and decent, that is… Continue

Christmas Time- All the Time- Peace On Earth

Hello Everyone,

I hope you're all doing well and finding that peace within you.

Sometimes, it's hard to find. When you're having a tough day, dealing with a loss of any kind, or simply in a "funk".

Music is a part of who I am. I love teaching the piano to my young students. They bring a smile to my face on the dreariest of days. Kids have such a pure honesty about them- you can't help but smile :) They tell it like it is- "Miss Ellen, you wear too much… Continue

I Spoke to the Earth and it Soon Answered

Meditation.
Even for a small amount of time can do the soul good.
Stop too appreciate the finer things in life as often as possible.
Listen to some classical music on a rainy night.
Stare at a camp fire and make peace with the earth.
Lay in the sun and recollect your thoughts.
Roll the windows down on the highway and take off your sunglasses.
Sit and draw in your mind with your eyes closed.
All simple ways to get your few minutes of peace in every day
