There are many of us that are celebrating the inauguration of our 44th President today. There are others that are not, and they have the right to speak their mind openly if they choose to do so. Many of us used that right to openly voice our pain at the election and subsequent re-election of George Bush. Remember how that felt before you tell someone that their hurt is unjustified and unfriend them because of it.
"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are… Continue

Martin Luther King Jr. said:
“We will match your capacity to inflict suffering, by our capacity to endure suffering. We shall meet your physical force with soul force. Do to us what you will, and we shall continue to love you. Throw us in jail, and we shall still love you. Bomb our homes and threaten our children, and we shall still love you. Send your hooded perpetrators of violence into our community at the midnight hour and beat us and leave us half dead, and we shall still love you.… Continue

On the evening of April 4, 1968, while standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers of that city, Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated.
In KEEP HOPE ALIVE, I began with Chapter One:
THE MORNING AFTER APRIL 4, 1968
"Peace for Israel means security, and we stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its…Continue

FRIENDSHIP is like a tree... It is not MEASURED on how TALL it could be, but is on how DEEP the ROOTS HAVE GROWN... In this WORLD, where everything seems UNCERTAIN, only one thing is DEFINITE. You'll always be my FRIEND, beyond WORDS, beyond TIME & beyond DISTANCE! I believe in angels, the kind that heaven sends. I'm surrounded by angels but I call them my best friends. Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was choice, but falling in love with you was completely out of my control. A… Continue

“The dream of Jesus Christ is the Kingdom of God, and the committed disciple buys into his dream.
It ought to be noted that the Kingdom is not an abstraction. It is a concrete, visible, and formidable reality forged by the personal commitment of many members. A commitment that does not issue in humble service, suffering discipleship, and creative love is an illusion. The world has no interest in abstractions, and Jesus Christ is impatient with illusions: ‘Everyone who listens to these… Continue

Just wanted to give a heads up - there's quite a few people that have tried to friend me over the past several week, but when I click on the link to confirm the friend request, it doesn't show up here on the website. So please don't think I'm ignoring anyone, I just can't get the requests to work!
Namaste,

"We have to awaken ourselves to awaken our world. We have to grasp the fact that life is so much more than we've been told. Even in a time of great deceit, deep force lies buries in the soul of the species, aching to come out."
"You get the world to change by changing yourself, and holding that position until underground force building in collective consciousness gains critical mass to catalyze world change."

A human individual quickly goes through experiences that determine his/her outlook in life. Life’s meaning. This is the same for humanity, except that it takes over a period of time instead of a lifetime. It’s humanity’s lifetime itself. One can grow from a child to an adult (for the lack of better description because there is no difference, in theory, between child or adult. Experience determines what an adult is, but a child is the same as an adult because deep within he/she still has the… Continue

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot… Continue

Let us not forget we are in a war right now. All of us are in a battle for our very lives. In the United States, our food is polluted on purpose with genetic modifications and additives. Our tobacco is radioactive because of phosphorus fertilizer use. The cure for the radioactive induced cancer is more radiation by chemo. Fluoride and bleach are in our tap water for consumption. And our money has been stolen by the bankers and wall street thugs.
"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?" ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
