There are times when I question myself if the leaders that we physically see are the true leaders of the world. Understandably, they lead humanity towards a collective goal. They gather the collective thought and drive it into reality. Who is to say that these physical leaders are not truly the leaders that we think they are? In reality, the leaders are the people themselves. They are not the head figures that we see in everyday living. The true leaders are the professors, musicians, artists, scientists, storytellers (directors, writers, etc.), philosophers, and the many professions (to include religious professions) in our reality. It is these individuals with pure imagination that drives the thoughts of the physical leaders and societies. They inspire every single one of us and the leaders into deeper thoughts. Into imagination. Without these individuals, our physical leaders would be nothing more then a symbol blindly leading people towards a direction of no dreams.
Individuals in the movie industry have delved into a passion of turning imagination into a flat screen reality. Through this art/science, they are able to portray thoughts that are not within our reality pouring imagination into humanity. Due to the industry, the possibilities of thought are driven into an infinite number of thoughts in an individual. Collectively, we understand the story told by the movie or television show, but within us there is a drive that thinks the inevitable question, "What if?". This type of thinking enables the leaders and societies to think out of the box. To utilize imagination in order to help in the molding of a nation. In turn, while collaborating with the collective consciousness, leaders can solve the hardest most burdensome problems for the society of which he/she leads.
In correlation to the movie industry, philosophers question all the mundane everyday aspects of life. Their passion in contemplation has brought about new ways of thinking, new definitions of life, rising political systems, and a new way for humanity to share intellect. Their love for actively thinking "between the lines and around them" has helped every single one of us bring about a definition of life. A means to think of things that have not ever been thought of. They push the very boundaries of realities that we seem to see to live in. The very existence of humanity is always questioned in order to seek truth. It is with these notions that leaders of today are lead to think more about what it is that they are leading. More about the meanings. Perhaps even think to themselves why they are a leader in the first place.
These questions of deeper, imaginative thoughts are also utilized by scientists worldwide. In all forms of science, they seek to propose theories to define the realities of which we currently live in, create new realities with the basis of the realities discovered, and even discover new truths through new realities that can change the course of humanity's beliefs. Through their empirical nature of discovering truths, they have created a foundation of which our leaders can build upon to shape reality. They are tangible, metaphorically speaking, truths of which humanity can use a basis of understanding between each other in spite of the many barriers humanity has put up. Scientists lay out information that provides insight on the society's common sense and ideals.
Religious leaders and spiritual leaders, like scientists, philosophers, and writers, also look for a deeper truth within. A sense of values to live by. A reason for existence. Their spiritual endeavors of understanding life have made an impact on the world whether we would like to accept it or not. Afterlife is always questioned. Morals are created in order to ensure a place for the greater life after death. With these values and morals, our leaders can understand the feelings involved by society in order to feel the dilemmas that societies have. Again, another basis of connection.
Our leaders of today, although may be physical symbols of society, are not exactly the leaders we think they are. We must applaud ourselves for everything that is accomplished. Applaud the active professional thinkers and non-professional thinkers. Without their thought, societies will not be born. Leaders will not be followed. The true meaning of life will be a robotic means of living instead of the imaginative unbound-less way of living that we currently have, if we choose to accept it, today. Although it is human nature to want a physical leader to drive the visions of the masses, it is only through societies that reality exists and has definition. Change does not come from one person. In retrospect, change comes from every single one of us, humanity, on this world of which we inhabit. So I ask, now, you, who are truly the leaders of the world? Only this time, I hope you think about yourself. We are all leaders of the world whether we like it or not. Our decisions in life affect everyone's realities.
