Breath in... breath out... (Poetry)

My eyes are open shut
Seeing reality without meaning
Following life as it goes streaming
Carried off to distant unknown lands

Oblivious to what is happening
I feel the rise and fall of my breath
My focus centered to that life-bearing rhythm
Eyes open sewn shut while I stand

Noticing me standing I'm not with the stream
I'm free from this social trance
Finally making my first real steps
I gather everyone around me while I can

Breath in... breath out...
Breath in... breath out...
Breath in... breath out...
