Dear friends, I want to thank you all for your support and joining us here on mypeacetv for the World March for Peace and Nonviolence. The World March was a success in many ways; first and foremost because we connected with many people from all cultures and strata around the world, restoring faith in the possibility that when people work together, anything is possible.
Since the World March for Peace and Nonviolence we have taken time to reflect on this experience of having mobilized hundreds of thousands of people, the media, government and business officials, and most importantly, the humble people at the social base who worked tirelessly to give a new direction to the violence transforming our difficulties towards a greater goal of peace and nonviolence.
Now we have launched new projects where peace and nonviolence can be deepened, not only in the world, but also in our lives on even the most personal level, deepened to where we can build on our strength and transcend individualism and isolation and find our source of inspiration and spirit within to continue our efforts. Our aim is to express this new way of being as a model for the new historical times where people and not monolithic institutions are the ones who show the light to the future.
We have set out constructing 30 parks of study and reflection worldwide. Places where people from all walks of life can gather to study and strengthen the best of ourselves, beyond politics, religion, gender, and any secondary aspects, to the core of what inspires and moves us away from suffering and towards liberation from violence and discrimination that saturates our lives and our world, our world the world of people.
We are asking for those in the U.S. or anywhere in the world, to support the new park of study and reflection being built in upstate New York, the Esopus Park for study and reflection.
All are welcome to support the park, not only by donating to build the park but also by joining our list and communicating, keeping informed, and hopefully join us in the works of retreats of study and reflection on how we can construct a new nonviolent world from within, and in the world together.
We have raised nearly all the money for the park and have one week to raise 14,000 by June 15, 2010 - to be able to purchase the land and repair buildings on site so we can officially open the park this summer.

This is an all-volunteer project and over 300 people have contributed to it's fruition.
This park is filed 501c3 pending and registered with the state of New York as a nonprofit with no paid staff and runs solely on contributions of it’s participating supporters.
Thank you all for your support.
All the best,
Hope
