Until 1989 South African-born, Michael, was living what he called "a blissfully unconscious life" as a music journalist. He then developed an acutely painful neurological condition called Horton's Syndrome. After four years of suffering through conventional medical approaches he embarked on a quest to heal his experience. In 1993 this intention unfolded into a nine-year odyssey that took him beyond the borders of his home country. In San Francisco he studied Swedish Massage and Reiki Therapy. In the Arizona Desert he studied Breathwork,. He also crossed the border to Mexico and participated in ceremonies with the Huichol Indians.

As Michael's quest to find relief unfolded, he began entering "present moment awareness"; a paradigm of heightened consciousness that appeared to be running parallel to the conventional and mundane world experience. He discovered that his repeated entry into this enlivened state of Being, which he accomplished through ceremonial practice and conscious breathing, resulted in a decrease of his own painful condition to the point that it subsided completely.

In the late 90s Michael began to chart a methodical pathway into present moment awareness with intent to develop a practical procedure that anyone, anywhere, could follow to initiate this experience for themselves. This procedure became known as The Presence Process. In 2002 Michael returned to South Africa and invited others to experience this inner journey. He discovered that as others embraced present moment awareness they too automatically experienced release from physical, mental, and emotional discomfort, including psychological disorders and addictions. To make this journey accessible to everyone Michael wrote The Presence Process: A Healing Journey Into Present Moment Awareness.

Michael Brown continues to live in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he shares his knowledge through personal facilitation. By means of this book, his healing contribution is available for all. Michael will be traveling extensively to speak and teach about The Presence Process.

How Apollo Describes His Journey:

"I am Apollo. I am an Environmental Artist. I only go by the one name. This is way I received it. I was in an automobile accident in 1973. I was driving a VW bus and the brakes went out. I tried to avoid hitting the truck in front of me. Instead I hit the curb and was hurled into a tree going about 60 mph. I saw everything in slow motion and was watching as if I were outside my body. I felt that I was going through the death experience, but there was no fear and no pain. I saw myself go through the windshield and land head first in the street. At this time, I acknowledged my own death. I felt free and was immediately pulled away into a vortex of rainbow colored energy. The best way I can describe it is to compare it with the way a worm hole in space has been depicted in the Star Trek series. I found myself breaking through this incredibly intense blue white light and all of a sudden I was walking through the most beautiful valley with a being that looked like how Christ is generally described.

He was dressed all in white and had white hair and beard and electric blue eyes. The shear beauty of this place was overwhelming. Everything seemed to glow with its own luminescence. Indeed it was heavenly. As we walked, I had many questions about life, death, religion, wars, suffering and a multitude of other things. We communicated telepathically without the use of words. As soon as I had a question, it was answered. I was told that I could stay and work from that side of reality to help humanity or I could go back to my life on earth and make an even bigger difference.

I was told that I would become an artist and that I would use the name Apollo. I was told that one day my work would be all around the planet and that I would be able to use it as a soap box to speak out on both social and environmental issues. I was also told that I would not receive any special treatment and would have to go through everything everybody else does. Just as I had acknowledged my own death, I agreed to come back and do my art. At that moment, I was pulled back into my body. Everything I was told has come to pass. The work is all around the world and I have had the privilege to work with some outstanding environmental groups as well as helping to raise money for several charities. I feel truly blessed."

Apollo is a joyous and loving collaborator in the Bridging International Healing Art Project and is one of the world's leading environmental artists. He started painting dolphins and whales when he first moved to Maui in 1980. Apollo is best known for his Marine Life, Endangered Species, Endangered Habitat and Tropical Art. He combines the style of realism with a touch of animation. He captures the essence of spirit in his subjects and reveals their beauty on canvas.

A fixture in the Maui art scene since 1980, Apollo gained a deep appreciation and understanding of the marine environment through constant interaction with the ocean and its creatures. While not engaged in his first loves of snorkeling, free diving, and of course, painting, Apollo could be found hiking the rain forests throughout the islands.

Gwendolyn, a joyous and loving collaborator in the Bridging International Healing Art Project, was born in England in 1953 with a natural gift of being able to see into the spiritual realms. She studied as an artist and photographer in England. At age 23 while visiting Mexico to photograph ancient sites in the Yucatan, she became seriously ill. Doctors' medicines did not help her. She was eventually healed by an old Mayan "curandera." The curandera had foreseen that Gwendolyn would come to her in a dream two years previously and had been waiting for her arrival. She trained Gwendolyn to use her spiritual gifts for healing. On her return home to England, Gwendolyn traveled around Britain learning many different healing modalities, while continuing her art career.

In 1983 she married and moved to California where she worked in the animation industry. She later ran her own cartoon greeting card company and worked for Lucas films in the special effects division. She continued her healing studies during this time. In 1994, she began her healing work formally and has since lectured across America and England. She is able to see all levels of the human energy field, and helps clients resolve the problems that are causing disease. Traditional doctors often cannot see the energetic levels in the human field that are the true cause of problems. Though Gwendolyn is not a doctor, she has helped many people clear health issues that doctors had not been able to resolve.

Caryn, a joyous and loving collaborator in the Bridging International Healing Art Project, writes books, facilitates workshops and creates art that encourages humankind to "remember what you are" while becoming more guardian-like in our treatment of others and our planet home.

In 1991, after almost ten years as a corporate tax consultant and CPA, Caryn began her present career as an international speaker and workshop facilitator. She is also the author of Ancient Pact, Volume 1: The Element of Air and the related ReMember: Deck One Spiritual Contemplation Cards.

Caryn resides in Reno, Nevada where she is an active volunteer for Conscious Community Campaign and Soroptimist International. She currently writes full-time, delivers occasional workshops, and speaks on her latest topics, Lessons of the Ancient Council and Accelerating Karma.

Her goal is to accelerate karma globally, reunite the ancient tribe of guardians, and renew the pact: "Our mission is to be guardians of all life and to never do harm unless necessary for survival."
