I Love (Love will... Bring change :)

This 10 minute motion painting was co-inspired by the Kiwi band Opshop who sent out a request for film footage from the public for their new music video... 'Love will always win'.

By the time I'd filmed and sent them the raw footage I was well inspired to use some of that footage myself along with the few bits of footage of the mural making process I'd captured previously, and to tell a little side story of local goings on here in recent Christchurch. About which lots of you would have already heard a bigger story. Or are living it and have your own stories to tell.

I also borrowed a few beautiful songs (as usual) for the film, which I hope the artists in question are cool about :)

Goddess Loves you too (Whatever your name is) and Water is Life (It's easy).
The 3rd and (just for now) final installment in this first series of short films documenting and elaborating upon the various elements that come together to form this...'thing'. This time by way of wall painting, sand drawing, song playing, talking, walking and sitting...etc, a community, like all communities, in constant transition from one state of conscious awareness to the next...adventures on in the making.

Greeting gravity (with mr sandman) and Oneness Lovingness (In my opinion).
These next episodes in this series of 'Inspired home movies' capture, among other occurances, the moment of Peter Donnelly's first arrival at the scene of Popx's Aroha mural in the making, with its references to Peter and his work, and the subsequent first conversations between these two 'social aRtivists' in relation to it. These creative communions then set the stage for more of the same as Popx freely shares 'what he thinks', in languages relatively unfamiliar these days, about what could be called Our Essential Identity and Nature :)

Introductory episodes in this series of 'Inspired home movies' in which the painting of a mural by Richard 'Popx Art' Baker and co, at one end of a large car park near the beach and pier in New Brighton, Christchurch, New Zealand and the ecologically ideal ground enhancing work of Peter Donnelly- Sand artist, both shine a light on and add weight to the potentiality of possibilities for sustainable creative exchange and evolving community cohesion :)
