Inspired by their work in Landmark Education, the founders of Where Peace Lives work with the Conerly Road Peacemaker School in Somerset, NJ in March 2007 in creating an international mural that the students will be exchanging with a school in Suez, Egypt in August. The Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence event at the United Nations, held in March 2007, featured non-profit organization Where Peace Lives Global Mural Exchange Program. Children and teens from the Tri-State Area both created and exchanged global murals for peace. Paintings included images of the world today and the future humanity is working to create. In an effort to mobilize 467 cities in 40 states and 18 countries, this 64 day educational media and grassroots campaign promotes the mass nonviolent actions of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin L. King, leaders who believed nonviolence is "the way"—the "only way."

Where Peace Lives Goes to Suez, Egypt

The founders of Where Peace Lives complete their first international mural in May 2007 with the students of the El Saffa Society for Special Needs Children in Suez, Egypt. Greeted by Madame Saida El Sherbini, the school founder, the Governor of Suez, and other city officials as well as 4 local tv stations, Where Peace Lives makes a huge impact on the vision and outlook for the school. Out of the visit new land is granted to the school to build a vocational center for the special needs students.
