The Story: August 10th, 2013, on Baltimore Ave in Southwest Philadelphia, this beautiful "Red-spotted Purple" butterfly walked from my hand onto my good friend Michael's hand, then back to my hand, and back onto his hand again! Earlier in the day we were at the The John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge and although a couple butterflies landed on me, I didn't get to see if one would walk from my hand onto Michael's hand; a goal we both had in mind. Afterwards, we went to eat at a chinese restaurant, and when we walked out, Michael noticed this butterfly on a step, just a few feet away from my car. I then sat next to it, it walked onto my finger, Michael filmed this with his phone and I eventually got my video camera from the car to get more footage (some of which you're seeing in this video). This amazing, wonderful butterfly stayed with us for over 20 minutes... a truly awesome experience :)
