River of Life I Command Thee

Life’s river is always in motion. The path it follows is guided by what objects lay in its path. There is no pause, nay nor “hold on” there is but flow. Some just choose to glide along aimlessly being tossed by rocks seemingly immovable objects. Still others having listened to the sounds of the river know how to command their path and even help the river to remove them from the path. Those who see, feel, smell and taste the destination guide their course knowingly to its true North. Many will gasp on to you from time to time. Some swim beside us for the whole journey others only for a section or two. That is truly well in the whole of time. The scenery trees along the shore line may lure you as “good enough” and entice you to settle or crash before destination is reality. But faithful is the captain of his own destiny. Some detract like a non-swimmer who always requires rescuing and never learns how to swim but keeps going in the deep end. These will drag you under the current of negativity. Throw instead a life preserver of hope to them with positive wishes for them and watch them or you sail peacefully down a different fork in the river of life.
We must know that positive flow is what we must ride. Never allow the trappings of any single whirlpool keep you stagnate in a sea of sameness whilst the reality of what you know is awaiting you beckons.
A true journey requires direction, seeing sign posts guiding you along the way. Settle not for the current but prepare by pressing onward. With each stroke you are one length closer. Keep your keel unharmed along the way so as not to rupture the hull nor be beached in the shallow waters of content.
Always seeing with vivid reality your destination that guides your hand upon the rudder in sync with the rhythm of the river. In mind’s eye you always see yourself docked in that port of result. Though no sign is visible you keep onward with faith in longing hands firmly grasping the map of desire. Press onward. See the landing rope of achievement being thrown on to the dock of destination. See the anchor being dropped firmly there while you are but programming your GPS for the journey smiling knowingly. Now, travel well indeed.
