Message to the world from an Afghan aid worker
“I hope for a country where women and men have equal value. My message to the world is that women in Afghanistan must be at the center of the decision-making. Do not make decisions about us without us!”
These are the words of Setayesh*, an aid worker in Afghanistan. She did not feel safe speaking on camera, so her words are read aloud by actress and IRC Ambassador Lena Headey.
