Jewish-Palestinian Living Room Dialogue (2007 outreach)

In 2007, the Jewish-Palestinian Living Room Dialogue of San Mateo, California, acted far outside its own circle nationwide and beyond. The handful of women and men helped more Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other adults and youth step across old lines and communicate with courage and excellence -- including in the Israel and Palestine. They engaged new communities to gift, free of charge, their how-to Dialogue materials and two documentary films on DVDS -- (1) DIALOGUE AT WASHINGTON HIGH and (2) PEACEMAKERS: PALESTINIANS & JEWS TOGETHER AT CAMP. In 2009, the 17-year-old Dialogue was preparing for its 209th meeting -- still learning, still helping the needed citizen, face-to-face public peace process succeed.

Deborah, yes. Change seems to begin at the heart, when a person is listened to and truly heard. This is one of the great acts of love, when fear deminishes and unprecedented creativity is released.

Keep up the good work. We will get there one group at a time. I grew up thinking that hate was the opposite of love.
I now understand that fear is the opposite of love. Love & Peace, Deborah
