This is Alanis Morissette's passionate performance of a song John Lennon wrote when he was a Beatle. When the Beatles were traveling with an entourage on a spiritual retreat in India he wrote the song to bring Mia Farrow's sister Prudence out of her tent feeling she was unhappy and hiding from the world. The song also invites people to come out of their caves (as in the allegory of Plato's cave) to see their own true being. Here's to the wonder, the beauty and the magic that is in each and everyone of us and in the world all around us. We are invited to look around!
"The sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you..." - John Lennon

"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?"
