Sharing Our Humanity, Honoring Our Children. Stop The War.

The lives of everyone connected to Israel and Palestine will never be the same since October 7th 2023. With tens of thousands of lives cut short, families torn apart, children traumatized, now more than ever we need to continue to show up for one another to mourn and remember. And, as we do every year, call for an end to the violence and demand a political solution that brings freedom, justice and safety for all. With all eyes of the international community on Israel and Palestine, now more than ever, we need to unite around our sorrow and stay strong in building hope that another way is not only possible but imperative.

This year, we will center the ceremony around the stories of children, whose only crime was being born Palestinian or Israeli. What will be the future of the next generation? How can we bring hope amidst so much tragedy?
This year we are bringing the ceremony into your living rooms with “Tekes Ba’Salon”. There will be many screening events of the ceremony happening in both private homes and public spaces, in Israel/Palestine and around the world. Upon registration, please let us know if you would like to host a screening event in your city and join the communities who support our message of peace.

בזכות האנושיות, למען ילדינו, לא למלחמה.
חייהם של כל מי שקשורים לישראל ולפלסטין, לעולם לא ישובו להיות כפי שהיו עד ה-7 באוקטובר 2023. עם עשרות אלפי הרוגים, משפחות שנקרעו לגזרים, ילדים בטראומה, עכשיו יותר מתמיד אנחנו נדרשים לתמוך אחד בשני, להתאבל ולזכור. וכן, כפי שאנחנו עושים בכל שנה, לקרוא לסיום האלימות ולדרוש פתרון פוליטי שיביא חופש, צדק וביטחון לכולם.

הטקס המשותף שלנו נותן הזדמנות יוצאת דופן לישראלים ופלסטינים להתאבל יחד, ולקרוא פה אחד לסיום מעגל הדמים. אנו עושים זאת לא כדי להשוות בין חוויות האבל שלנו, אלא כדי להפוך את הייאוש לתקווה, ולהציע חמלה למען העתיד האנושי המשותף של כולנו. אנו מזכירים לנו ולעולם, שכיבוש, דיכוי וסכסוכים אינם בלתי נמנעים.
השנה יעסוק הטקס בסיפורים של ילדים, שפשעם היחיד היה שנולדו פלסטינים או ישראלים. מה יהיה העתיד של הדור הבא? איך אפשר להביא תקווה נוכח הטרגדיה הזאת?


بحق الإنسانية، من أجل أولادنا، لا للحرب.
مع بداية يوم السابع من أكتوبر الماضي تغيرت حياة كل من يعيش على هذه الأرض سواء فلسطينيين او اسرائيليين. ومع سقوط عشرات الاف من القتلى، وتشريد آلاف العائلات، والأطفال الذين يعانون من الصدمات، أصبحنا مطالبون الآن وأكثر من اي وقت مضى بدعم بعضنا البعض، في الحزن وفي الذكرى، وكما تعودنا في كل عام فنحن ندعوا الى انهاء العنف، ونطالب بحل سياسي، يحقق الحرية والعدالة والأمن للجميع.

ويوفر ذكرى المراسم المشتركة فرصة استثنائية للفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين للحداد والذكرى معاً، والدعوة سوياً الى انهاء دائرة العنف وسفك الدماء. ونحن لا نفعل ذلك لمقارنة تجارب الحزن التي مررنا بها، بل نقوم بتحويل اليأس الى أمل والتعاطف معاً من اجل مستقبلنا الانساني المشترك، ونذكر انفسنا والعالم أجمع، بأن الاحتلال والقمع والصراع، ليست اموراً حتمية.
وهذا العام يتناول الحفل قصص لأطفال ذنبهم الوحيد أنهم ولدوا فلسطينيين وإسرائيليين، فماذا سيكون مستقبل الأجيال القادمة؟ كيف يمكن لنا أن ننشر الأمل في مواجهة هذه المأساة؟.
