What a privlege to live in a time when we can be a catalyst for change for a better world. I saw Unite for Peace at an ideal moment. Innocently, I was looking for the president of my bank where there was an ATM malfunction. Because my deposit was not recorded, half a dozen other charges kicked in - at usurious bank fees of $35 each plus a daily penalty of $8 per day. Imagine...paying $35 plu $8 x 9 =$72 = $117.00 for the bank honoring a $12.99 AOL charge. The same for Sun Pass ($20 charge), another $117. This goes on and on, and with the deposit the money was there in the bank all along. I wanted to close the account and I was told I couldn't until all of these bank fees were paid, and then....it will be "considered" for reimbursement. I contacted regulatory agencies, and I'm sure the money will be reimbursed.BUT - I discovered the bank had been fined millions of dollars - as have so many - for their part in narco corruption and  money laundering.

What are our alternatives? Is there an ethical banking institution? Where do we find this information?
