- Past President of Peace & Justice of the Arvada United Methodist; Taught Sunday School, Vacation Church School, Helped write a grant for Market Place; Social Science/Language Arts/Jr Hi/Middle School teacher-34 yrs; Sponsor of all Community Service projects in School; Chair of HD #27 Arvada Democrats; Arvada BPW Woman of the Year 2007; Democrat of the Year 2009; Integrity Award Jefferson County Schools 2008; Apple Award by Ist Judicial District of Jefferson County JC Legal Association; Democrat Convention Delegate 8 yrs; State Democrat Executive/Central Committee; One of 8 teachers selected to pilot "Mock Trial" in CO Schools which continues to this day. (My tenure 27 yrs) Husband Mel taught 34 yrs, then continues to sub.His activities he sponsored: motorcycle safety, river rafting, flying,(taught it,too.) We're still very active in alll activities. Right now it's the school board races and City Elections. and being the point people for both of our families emergencies since we're the oldest relatives. Involves lots of trips
