I got a cool book the other day. It's called The Gospel of the Toltecs. The author is an Indian from Mexico. He took the beliefs of the traditionalist tribes in his country, and combined them with the serviving Mayan hieroglyphs to make a modern recreation of the writings about the life and teachings of the ancient prophet, Quetzalcoatl. I have read many stories about the Spanish conquistadors who burned every Indian book they could find about him, in thier efforts to erase the memory of Mayan and Aztec religion. It's a pretty cool book. Oh, by the way, I'm writing a book of my own about the history of Philadelphia. I'm writing it with complete disregard for what is important to know about Philly's story, and instead telling only the story of the action. The revolutionary spies, the underground rail road, the Indian warriors, the pirates, the womens' suferagests, the mobsters, the refugees, that kind of thing.

You know, after I saw the comment you made on my blog, I got to thinking. I realised that after spending the past 13 years living in the city or on the edge of the city, I had actually forgoten how beautiful the stars were at night. I moved up to the Poconos in september, so now I can look up and see them without the city lights blocking them out. You see, it snowed all day here yesterday, so last night, once it got dark, I went out into the woods. The moon was so full and bright, esepecially with all the light being reflected off the snow, and the stars were amazing! When I was growing up, I used to spend a lot of time durring the summer months in the desert in Arizona and in Oregon. In the desert the night sky will always take your breath away. Thank you. You gave me back the stars. Wado. Ge ga. That means I go. It's how you say goodbye in Cherokee.

Hey what's up? You know I was working on my list of favorite books. I added one that I thought you might be interested in. It's called Call of the Great Spirit. It's an autobiobraphy by a man who is part Indian and part White. He grew up in modern western culture, but thgough a failed suicide attempt and a bunch of extraordinary events goes on to become a shaman named Medicine Grizlybear. Check it out.

Hello again. I like the new stuff you added. It's pretty cool. Check out my egrit pictures. It took me two weeks of staking out that bird to get those shots. Well, time for me to go for now. Remember, Mr. Magoo is not to be trusted.

Hello Dancing Fingers, I forgot to thank you for complimenting my photos. So as my grandfather's people say, wado. That's thank you in Cherokee.
