The "Religious Right" is best described as a diagnosis for a group of people who are tragically very sick.
The challenge that faces us has less to do with changing them and more to do with not catching their sickness. Their sickness is hatred, intolerance, fear and paranoia. We must be careful not to hate them, fear them or refuse to tolerate their intolerance. This is actually a tall order once you really consider the implications of what I have just stated.
The more we individually and collectively expand our own consciousness, not only does it become more and more self evident to us what to do about any given situation, but it affects the overall level of consciousness in the collective, in the society. As it has been pointed out many times before, the drop of one pebble in a pond affects the entire pond.
Don't buy the cover story. Coming up with a strategy about how to change the Religious Right is sort of putting the cart before the horse. The situation we find ourselves in is one in which world conditions are inviting us to a level of consciousness that is free and clear.
The religious establishment has always lied to, oppressed, killed, brainwashed and scared the masses. It's just what they do. I could write a new blog each day pointing out what they did or said last and we could all be outraged together. But we know better than that, don't we? As their overall number of religiously brainwashed dwindle in the United States and much of Europe, they are stepping up their game. They are scared and desperate and desperate people do desperate things.
But the old systems are collapsing. The writing is on the wall. When we break free from a reactive state of consciousness, we are free think and feel and imagine ahead of the curve. We know what is on the horizon. If you don't, then you are still operating from a reactive state of mind. The best use of your energy and mine is to plan for the world we are consciously creating - the world we are to contribute to once this inevitable collapse occurs. And it is all going down. This big arrogant Titanic has hit an iceberg because of the quality of consciousness that was at the wheel. Some of us will swim to freedom and we will take as many with us as we can.
Let me be abundantly clear: I am NOT advocating inaction. Merely I am pointing out that if the mind is still conditioned, if the consciousness is still captured by lower forces, any action a person or group of people takes will only result in more noise, more activity within the same patterns we have inherited from those who have gone before us. When the individual experiences an inward revolution, your thoughts, words and actions will by their very nature be revolutionary.
In the meantime, if you really want to make a contribution, get your own house in order. Free your mind of past condition that does not serve you or anyone else. Let go of all indoctrination. Question absolutely everything. Don't allow yourself to cling to dogma, even the dogma that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The more you consider what this involves, seriously and honestly consider it, really admit where you are still stuck, where you are still not free - each step you take on this journey expands your consciousness and the consciousness of the collective.
