Sometimes it doesn't seem like there's much to be thankful for, but I believe it's those moments when we have to reach into who we are deep inside and understand that as long as we're alive and have the ability to think we'll have opportunity to lift ourselves out of any lousy situation we may be in. It may be such that we can't do it alone, but just look around at how many people there are who believe as you do and what possibilities exist with all of us working together not just to protest or complain but to take massive action for the future, establishing the seeds that will create a world of sustainable abundance and rich human advancement unbounded by silly limitations such as money.
We are approaching an election year when the rhetoric is going to continue to escalate to probably unprecedented levels of ludicrousness. I hate to promote myself, but I AM an option for the presidency for 2012. If enough of us come together I can easily get on the ballot in all 50 states.
Now, I know that the President doesn't legislate and in that regard isn't such an important figure, but from a standpoint of what the Presidency CAN be, I believe it's the MOST important position because the President has unparalleled access to the airwaves, to being able to meet with foreign leaders, community leaders, community activists, etc, and promote solutions, ideas, encouragements, and more. I believe also that those who have held the office to this point have tragically wasted their opportunities to make huge positive differences in the world's direction.
We can bring a set of transitions to bear. We can start by empowering people locally while establishing/re-establishing a sovereign national currency in the US as well as encouraging it to happen in countries like Greece which are falling prey to the international banker's controls. We can transition away from for-profit focus to a non-profit focus fairly easily just by untying the hands of non-profits so they can compete with for-profits. We can plant "city seeds" for futuristic cities. We can greatly expand our reach into space, establishing colonies on the moon, creating much larger space stations, better technologies, etc. In doing this, we can ensure humanity's survival or at least stack the deck in her favor in the event a planetary disaster event comes along. We can raise education quality to unprecedented levels and ensure EVERY person gets the training he/she needs regardless of background and we can expand on that such that it applies from birth to death rather than just 6 to 18.
We can establish pockets of moneyless living and test a wide variety of "economic models" and finally find out which ones will work, which ones (other than the ones we already know of) won't work, and which will be the best of the bunch. We can eliminate disease, we can eliminate poverty and hunger, we can eliminate discrimination and war, and so much more. We can, I believe, finally throw off all false limitations and self-imposed or societally imposed limitations once and for all and move into an incredibly brilliant future for humanity.
I believe we are outstandingly far more capable than what we've been demonstrating over the years and I'm working to encourage all of us to rise up and pursue those capabilities and just see what can be accomplished.
Best wishes to all of you today and every day!
Scott Keller
"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?"
