Halloween Magic

Performed my annual mingling magic show at UMASS last night at Franklin Dinning Commons. The first group was such a great start to the night. The first person picked the Three of Clubs
(Stephanie’s Card) and then the next person picked the Queen of Hearts
(Lauren’s card, also the card of Love). At the end of the routine the Three of
Diamonds was on the bottom of the deck (the card Stephanie used to tell me what
kind of ring that she wanted). The signs were one after another and could not
be any clearer. Especially with one of the participants being named Hope.
That’s a slap over the head clear signal.

The next group had a young man named Rajun (sp?). I had given him my business card with “Three of Clubs” written on the front, and placed it face down in front of him with the quote on
the back of my card prominently displayed for him to read (I’m sneaky like
that). I then asked him what his name meant. He said that it meant something to
the effect of “bright star.” He was perfect to receive the card, for the quote
on the back reads, “Remember always the astounding Light of your own Being.”

At another group a young woman did name the Three of Clubs when I again performed the business card routine with the Three of Clubs written on it which made the piece that much more
better, for it was set after a challenge set by one of the participants to “do it
again” during another effect. Any doubt
was shattered at that moment and mountains could have been moved.

Wonderful evening of magic. It has renewed my faith in the work that I am doing.

Ok, seriously, I can’t get Lauren off of my mind.
