Global Peace Film Festival submissions open

The 2013 Global Peace Film Festival will take place in Orlando, Florida (USA), from September 17 - 22.  Submissions for the festival have just opened.  The mission of the GPFF is to use creative media as a catalyst to inspire and educate people to initiate positive change in their communities and worldwide.  Rather than a passive experience, the Festival aims to encourage and motivate active involvement in working for peace and justice.

We are seeking narrative feature films, feature length documentaries, animated and short films (narrative, documentary and animation) on the issues of:

Global peace/Peace activism

Conflict resolution

Social Inequality (class, race, gender and mobility issues)

Environment/Environmental Justice

Climate Change/Sustainable Energy/Economic Policy

Fair Trade

Oceans & Water

Food and Water Security

Inter-generational teaching/learning

Music & peace; Art & peace

Providing safe environments for children and families

Human Trafficking

Community mediation

Youth issues relating to peace and peacemaking
