An Appeal to a Muslim Ummah

Dear Muhammd,

It seems that some people are very afraid.. afraid of what they don't understand.. so they make generalizations and assumptions about the religion of another, quite often misunderstanding their religious texts and not looking deeper into the historical or metaphorical context. I'm sorry that some people are so afraid to understand Muslims (most of whom are kind and loving people) that they believe violent extremists represent all Muslims. Yet there are also many people who know this is not true. Please know that the extremists from other religions are coming from a perspective of fear (rather than love) and they do not represent all the people who belong to those faiths. I know from my own experience, that there are many Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and so on, who see through the eyes of love, compassion and understanding, rather than fear. I believe you were looking for a Muslim site, PeaceTV.IN, when you found MyPeace.TV.. but I think you may feel encouraged by some of the interfaith content people are sharing here. There are many who are working to create peace between people of all faiths and belief systems. The video you shared upset me also, which is why I want to share a couple videos with you that offer much hope for understanding and peace:
