"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?"

"While You Are Proclaiming Peace with Your lips- Be Careful to have it Even More Fully in Your Heart" ~Saint Francis of Assisi Nov 11
I think this is the crucial center for establishing Harmony in the world at large. If we all gather saying 'we want peace' and don't really know what it means, then what have we created except to begin to know we want Peace. Once beginning to know we want Peace we can start to examine what creates Peace individually and collectively.
You and I are saying that so long as humanity embraces the killing mentality (slaughtering animals and ingesting that imprint of murder) then that imprint is alive in our being and consciousness which then translates into action in the world. So yes, moving away from these practices will indeed give humanity the opportunity to really start feeling more harmony and peace within, thereby impacting the entire civilization positively. I think there is a great move towards growing one's own fruits and vegetables for sustaining health and life. Cuba is doing this and The President's wife Michelle Obama) has one! ☺ ☻ ♥
when you think about it, it is easy to move from killing animals to killing people! this has happened many times in many cases....even children who kill animals are more likely to murder when they grow up...
slaughterhouses, media and "gun control" or lack of- are all related in the end to the main causes of violence. We must put this madness to an end- it is so barbaric!
