I never realized how many movies I have enjoyed and what type of movies I don't like. I enjoy films that celebrate love and creativity and poetry. Comedy is great if it is not slapstick.
I detest violence and glassyeyedflagwaving.

Television

Grays Anatomy, Private Practice, Glee, almost anything shown on FreeSpeech TV or Link TV.

Music

Currently, I'm into Country & Western except for the patriotic, fundie nonsense. I enjoy Pops, Rock, Jazz, I was raised on Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, also Copeland and Gershwin, I like Show tunes, I play the piano (we have one in the living room)...took lessons when I was a kid, but I can play by ear almost any song I've ever heard (thousands)...I know about six or seven chords which I can play on a guitar to accompany myself when I sing (not a bad voice).

Books

I constantly am reading something...Lately, Dean Koontz, Lee Child, James Patterson, Robert Parker, Dennis Lehane, Clive Cussler, Rex Stout, Harlen Coben, Michael Connelly, and on the more serious side, Michael Parenti, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein...so many authors...just too numerous to name.
