- I am an art educator who recently formed a company that intends to inspire students who might be contemplating dropping out.
I was there when I was 16. I taught at Earhart Middle School in Detroit where a young Jesus Christian Sanchez got shot and killed the year I was transferred to a different school.
While at Earhart, we created a bronze public sculpture entitled A Wish for Peace from the hearts of students who are tired of violence.
