About Me/Us:
I matured from an African-American child coming of age during the Civil Rights era struggling with the dilemma of hope for the promise of equality and resentment of the reality of segregation and discrimination, to full-fledged advocate for Peace and Unity. It's been hard. I have personal, vivid memories of blatant, hostile racism. At the same time fond, warm remembrances of racial healing and amelioration. These experiences sensitized me to the need for tolerance and acceptance for all downtrodden, persecuted people - cultural, religious, ethnic, LGBT and others. I realized that I would never be okay to secure my liberties and to Hell with everybody else. It must be liberty and justice for all, for everybody. I recall the first time, as a child, when I saw a photo of the Earth taken from the surface of the Moon by astronauts from the first Lunar Mission. Even to a naive eight-year-old it was obvious this planet we live on is home to ALL the creatures who live here and that despite, in the scheme of things, the trivial differences we display that we are One Human Family. United, we stand. Divided, we fall. I'm a professional artist who has created, and am trying to build, the GOLDEN OpportUNITY FOR UNITY Rotating Sundial Sculpture, as an (Inter) National Unity Monument. I need all of your support, now. Thank You.
