Hi, Al!
Welcome to MyPeace.tv
Our numbers are growing every day.
But numbers aren’t all that’s important.
You might join up and think: “Well, now I’ve done enough for Peace…”
Or, "It's the least I could do for my children's future..."
Or you might join up because you want to be informed, be given ideas and inspiration.
But, you know, there is no information unless there’s somebody informing.
There are no ideas unless somebody thinks them.
There is no inspiration unless somebody (or something) inspires.
So I’d like to ask you, please, to be an ACTIVE member of MyPeace.tv
To inform, to think (and SHARE your thoughts)… and to inspire.
This website would be NOTHING without the People who make it up.
So, what can YOU do, somebody who “doesn’t know the ropes”, the “new kid on the blog”???
Look around, read blogs and discussions and don’t be afraid of adding your own voice.
Your voice is important to us.
Go to the “Groups” page (hold your cursor for a moment over “People” in the line-up at the top of the page, until the list of 4 sub-options appears, then click on “Groups”), find one or more that appeal to you, look at their mini-descriptions, click on the names (or the pictures) of the ones that interest you and read their full group description there (window shopping is free…)
And then JOIN the ones that really appeal to you. (Join by clicking on the “Join [group’s name]” option at the bottom of the page, under the comments.)
You may join as many or as few groups as you wish… but there’s no point in being a “group collector” like a stamp collector, leaving your groups in some cyber drawer that is rarely – if ever – opened.
I – personally – would like to invite you to join two groups that are especially important to me: The World March for Peace and Nonviolence
Now, many people get the wrong idea about this march. They see its name and think that it’s all about a march. But it’s about much more. It’s about weaving a whole FABRIC of activities to promote Peace, all over the World. It doesn’t matter if the actual marchers don’t come within 1,000 miles of where you are. By organising ANY activity – a talent show, a karaoke evening, a session of bingo – where the theme is Peace, wherever you are, you become part of the March. We’re going to make it into the biggest demonstration of public opinion the World has ever seen!
and – in case you understand Spanish – Sencillamente, Paz (a group for exchange of ideas, mutual support, whatever, in Spanish)
Whatever you decide, feel welcome...
Because you ARE!

Thanks for being my new friend. I saw the videos you posted about the troubles in Iran. I so hope the poeple of Iran will not become the next Tienenmen Square. But weather or not they do, I have a feeling that Iran will never be able to go back to the old way. And I hope that Neda's death will lead to freedom for, not just her people, but to all women, all over the world. Thanks again for your friend request.
Hello Al, my name is Carmina. Thanks for sharing 1Ness when you say my smile. I'll certainly check out your videos and give you my two cents (aka feeback) ; )
Hi Al,
I'm in the process of digesting what I've just watched, i.e., "Prolonged Detention". It seems an oxymoron- The U.S. Constitution and Prolonged Detention. It's scary- not a mere conversation between two people. This is the President of the United States proposing what I can only equate to, at this moment, George Orwell's "1984"- required reading in high school. I'm thinking it should still be required reading if it no longer is..."The thought police would get him just the same. He had committed—would have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper—the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever. You might dodge successfully for a while, even for years, but sooner or later they were bound to get you."
Hey Al,
Sorry I haven´t answered you before…haven´t been logged in here since I went to China in June.
Interesting times with Obama and Hu Jiantaos interest for climate change agreement and Ban Ki-Moons a-weapon control act. ( I have a discussion on several sites called "LOVE without guns" http://www.ipeace.me/forum/topics/love-without-guns)
