    Hi Everyone!

    My name is Ana Campos and I'm one of the Florida State Organizers for The Peace Alliance Campaign. The Peace Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit supporting the establishment of a U.S. Department of Peace and Nonviolence with the passage of a federal bill currently in Congress (HR-808).

    I am writing this email to request your support of a much needed, practical solution to prevent violence at its root causes and not just address the results that come from violence.

    The website www.Change.org is holding an online event through Jan 15th calling for the "Ideas For Change in America." The idea to "Appoint Secretary of Peace in Department of Peace and Nonviolence" is in the category of other and currently in first place. We need your help retaining that position all the way till Jan 15th. This idea will be given to President Obama, and be featured on networks like MySpace helping it reach millions of people. I am requesting your support in anticipation of the upcoming 10 day run off.
