I currently live with elderly but still independant parents Southern Delaware near the resort beaches. I volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and I am involved with various other projects.
I've always been fascinated with other cultures and have felt pulled towards all indigenous peoples. I am also interested in ancient history. I believe the real story of our past is yet to be learned.
My life has not been especially easy, but not so terrible either. I feel every experience both good and bad, had led me to the present and has been my training for practising peace. I can finnally say I feel centered and peaceful in my heart. Now it's time to share that peace with the world!

Namaste' Helen thanks for the comment and the friend request. It took me a long time to figure it out and still work on it daily. I'll check out the website, I know it is more about what we show in our lives for me. I took tearing up m knees to get my attention and now I live in a very remote area 23 miles from nearest store or mailbox in a very beautiful place, I have photos of it so I have lots of time to learn and apply what I learn. I check out the website. Have a wonderfully blessed day. Peace
Helen thanks I love it here and no I don't have enough of a growing season normally have snow until June and will this year in some shady spots, then it gets cold in Sept so just not enough time, I do have a friend that has an organic farm where we stay when we go into town. I'm 50 miles from Leavenworth, WA, Fish Lake & Lake Wenatchee are 23& 25 miles away and 2 miles from the Glacier National Wilderness my warmest days last year 3 of them were 94 & 95, normally cooler since we are at 2800'. I go to Seattle in June for Freemont Fair for Summer Solstice it's a blast and the dogs love to see everyone, they are very people oriented and love good live music, it's all they have known since I got them as pups. Glad you enjoy the blog. I love the mountains and everything to do outdoors. have a great evening. Talk soon Peace
Hello Helen. Nice to have you as my new friend. In responce to your questions, I used to find a lot of confusion from different cultural points of view, but now I see it as a way of understanding the world around me better. I love the traditions of my Jewish family members. They use these traditions to remember what happened to our people in the past, and what we learned from it as a people. I love the stories my Irish family members. They tell me about banshees and ghosts they say they have seen. They make me wonder what reality realy is. I love the Scottish stories about Robert the Bruce and other heroes of the past. They make me want to do great things, to change the world. I love to listen to my Indian family talk about stories from nature...stories of crow, turtle, eagle, things like that. Also I love thier stories of great prophets and wariors from the old days. I love my stepmothers stories about growing up in the jungle in Thailand and stories of Buddha. I also have many Quaker friends who tell me great stories too. I go to Passover seiders. I celebrate Christmas. I go to powwows. I have three new years in my family... Rash Hashana, Chinese New Year and Jan. 1st. We have many ways to interpret God and the world around us in our various cultures, but we are all one people. One family. One human race. The animals are part of our family too. A math teatcher once told me," you will never be able to answer any of the questions, untill you learn how to question the answers." I have never forgoten those words, and I have learned to love the mystery of wondering what is true or real much more than knowing the answers to lifes questions. We will have to talk more about this. It's good to meet you.
I do indeed, Helen. Thank you for asking. I am about to leave for Arizona for the weekend but will plan to send you a few when I return. Thanks again for your comments.
