I caught this blue jay lurking about on my roof, waiting for the perfect moment to swoop down and steal food from my cat's bowl.

It was tricky to capture this turtle at just the right moment, as he would go under the water for minutes at a time and only surface for a few seconds.

Saw this beautiful dragonfly on a hike through Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, on the Carman's River on Long Island, NY.

On a visit to a butterfly and bird sanctuary in Oneonta recently, I spied this red-billed finch trying hard to get a drink from a fountain.

At the same sanctuary, I was stunned by the bold colors of this white-cheeked turaco.

‎"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?"
