I believe the answer to this question becomes evident after reading Beezlebub's Tales to his Grandson - by Gurdjieff in the prescribed manner first.

Then applying your own mind and "memory" you will understand.

Rolf I suppose (only my opinion now i wasn't there that i can recall) GOD made the chicked then they sytarted laying eggs???

But what the chicken just appeared? I personally dont believe completely in the whole god created everything theory. I think maybe a chicken started out as some kind of other animal with a genetic problem that passed on and now they are just mass produced for food. More of a fan of scientology when it comes to figureing out whether there was a chicken first or an egg.

The egg, indeed, and no matter what you may say, came first, as well as light came before matter, even thou we can not say it came before life. I myself believe life came first, then light shone up.
