Please watch this poem I performed at the United Nations Plaza to honor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Min Ko Naing, and all the beautiful people of Burma.

Now that is a good one! Thanks for sharing that one with us.
CAPTAIN FACTOR X

u sit at your computer
recently knighted
at the center of a vortex
of groceries, socialization, physicians, teachers
cops and cunt and cock and revolution and redemption
ready to poke your little head in all over

a reluctant revolutionary
aware the sewer system goes down and millions die

a buffalo soldier
in the war for america*

in your medicine bag:
as much tv as humanly possible
comics books concerts doobies dogs cd's dvd's dj's and cats
mothers and fathers and lovers
they are your powers
make strings of beads
named for your parents statesmen pets children lovers passions
wear them proudly around your neck
explain them to all who are wise enough to listen

help ETCH OUT OUR ethics
in this universe of mysterious dark matter
not caring
knowing
or worrying about whether they are for real
for real keys
to a realm of savage grace
... have a little faith.

stand and point
at your toxic dumps real and spiritual
in your neighborhoods
in yourselves
report the problems
to a crusading warrior monk
we are now armed
and ready and lusting
to serve and protect
and party and get us all some hot, juicy PEACE
Suns Pictures, Images and Photos
If you are seeking, seek us with joy
For we live in the kingdom of joy.
Do not give your heart to anything else
But to the love of those who are clear joy,
Do not stray into the neighborhood of despair.
For there are hopes: they are real, they exist –
Do not go in the direction of darkness –
I tell you: suns exist.

- Jalal-ud-Din Rumi
(Translated by Andrew Harvey from "A Year of Rumi")
On Bargaining: I go around in such despair
Fashioning angels in the air
If you were one, I'd be free
To make an angel out of me.

Peace revisited 3 years later. By: Beast aka Jay

Sheltered within concrete and steel

Peace came to me to refine all that was real

A pillow of love

A blanket of warmth

And memories of childhood wrapped with freedom

Peace? What is Peace?

Peace is making someone feel whole by lending an ear, giving a hug, taken away their sorrow just for a millisecond.

Peace is sharing your dreams, your goals, your time in someones heartache.

Peace? What is Peace?

Yaron Fishman, is a friend. I may not know that much of Yaron, but he is a human being, a kind soul, a freedom fighter of speech, action and will!!!

So I say, "what is peace," as an expression of character, and what we as a UNITED PEOPLE can do with this powerful word "PEACE".

It's great to be back within my circle of peaceful warriors and princesses. Blessings, peace be with you all, sincerely, Beast aka Jay

Jay.. Welcome back and thank you so much for the inspiring and kind words!!

Peace & many Blessings...

My poem though written about the 2000 election unfortunately continues to be prevalent in today's society

Election Rejection

Figures for the classified

Punch lines for the comics

A way to read something

And not really understand it

Nominated on time

Press lines for the drones

selected media all programmed

Waiting for you

Elected on the front page

Pinpricks for the wicked

A way to kill yourself

without dying

Corrupted in the funnies

Idols to false idolatry

redacted pages burned

Waiting for you

Provisions for this junk box

A way to mangle the words

one last time
