Peace revisited 3 years later. By: Beast aka Jay
Sheltered within concrete and steel
Peace came to me to refine all that was real
A pillow of love
A blanket of warmth
And memories of childhood wrapped with freedom
Peace? What is Peace?
Peace is making someone feel whole by lending an ear, giving a hug, taken away their sorrow just for a millisecond.
Peace is sharing your dreams, your goals, your time in someones heartache.
Peace? What is Peace?
Yaron Fishman, is a friend. I may not know that much of Yaron, but he is a human being, a kind soul, a freedom fighter of speech, action and will!!!
So I say, "what is peace," as an expression of character, and what we as a UNITED PEOPLE can do with this powerful word "PEACE".
It's great to be back within my circle of peaceful warriors and princesses. Blessings, peace be with you all, sincerely, Beast aka Jay
Jay.. Welcome back and thank you so much for the inspiring and kind words!!
Peace & many Blessings...
My poem though written about the 2000 election unfortunately continues to be prevalent in today's society
Figures for the classified
Punch lines for the comics
A way to read something
And not really understand it
Nominated on time
Press lines for the drones
selected media all programmed
Waiting for you
Elected on the front page
Pinpricks for the wicked
A way to kill yourself
without dying
Corrupted in the funnies
Idols to false idolatry
redacted pages burned
Waiting for you
Provisions for this junk box
A way to mangle the words
one last time
"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?"
