As an author promotnig our human potential for choosing creative,, cooperative, relationships for solving the problems of wars, hunger, homelessness, sickness and more, I have been interviewed on "conservative" talk radio shows. The hosts usually suggest that "human nature" makes peace impossible because "someone is always looking for a fight". They usually agree, however, that most of us deeply desire peace and have desired peace for eons. Since we haven't as yet, acheived a more safe, sane, and peaceful world, they are inclined to belive it is impossble. I do my best to explain how our individual beliefs and attitudes add to our overall consciousness since we are interconnected and interdependent.
Consequently we can add to the positive power of peace or diminish it with the power of our thoughts and beliefs. Seeing the recent quantumleap in consciousness in Middle East countries where the people have freed themselves frombrutal dictators, and now, the people here in the U.S. speaking out about injustices, I believe some real progress is being made. We need to keep our shared vision clear and teach the children to be peacemakers of the future. My role is to create simple, entertaining ways for adults and children of all ages to show that peace is truly possible.
