I recently found out that NBC Philadelphia, a local news channel in my area, airs a half hour of positive news each Friday, in a segment called "The Good News Is...". I sent them a message, thanking them for their work, and asking them to let their viewers know about the growing petition on facebook for more positive, uplifting and constructive news: http://Facebook.com/PetitionForMorePositiveNews
So far, over 3,000 people support this petition, and my feeling is that when one local news station helps spread the word about it, the number of people rallying around this idea could increase so much so, that national/international news outlets will be moved to report it as well. Once this happens, news outlets around the globe will consciously put much more effort into exploring solutions, and embracing the good news that's already happening in the world. For this reason, I'm inviting you to join me in contacting NBC Philadelphia, sharing the link to the petition, and asking them to tell their viewers about it. Of course, you're also encouraged to do the same with your own local news channels, and national/international channels such as CNN.
Thank you for reading and if you've taken action to help spread the word about this petition, or if you have suggestions on how we can all contribute more to this cause, please share.
With Love and Gratitude, Yaron and The MyPeace.TV Team
