CIA TRAVEL AGENTS FOR TORTURE why is that ok President Obama?

THE CIA, THE TRAVEL AGENTS AND TORTURE TOURISM

Nothing has done more damage to the American reputation abroad than the torture tourism - the outsourcing for torture of humans alleged to have been involved in terror. For years George W. Bush and his operatives have denied that they use torture. What about former CIA chief Tenet? No torture! Here is Senator Whitehouse of Rhode Island, asking Attorney General Mukasey whether waterboarding is unconstitutional. Answer: if it amounts to torture it is unconstitutional. What about former CIA Chief Hayden? Torture is not of interest to the CIA. http://mypeace.tv/profiles/blogs/cia-travel-agents-for-torture/edit
Well, that is maybe not as strange as it sounds. They do not do that themselves as a government official once said: We dont kick the bleep out of them, we send them to other countries so they kick the bleep out of them. But enough of the commercials, lets do a reality show: You see, we found that the CIA has set up a veritable Sky Network, AIR CIA, with routes all across the globe. --- Actually, we have the story of one of the torture tourists, Khalid El-Masri who was born in Kuwait in 1963 to Lebanese parents but became a nationalized German. On December 31, 2003 he went on vacation to Macedonia but was detained by border agents because his name el-Masri was similar to al-Masri, wanted by the CIA. He was turned over to the CIA who flew him on one of their routes to Afghanistan. Where he was tortured, beaten and sodomized. Despite the fact that the CIA soon figured out that they had the wrong man It took TWO, not one ORDER of Condoleezza Rice to release him, whereafter they flew him to Albania where they dropped him off in the middle of nowhere. He turned to the ACLU who filed suit but got nowhere. Instead of making good on their error, the Department of Justice argued that allowing his suit to go forward would unreasonably reveal state secrets like that Bush, Cheney, Hayden, and Tenet lied and that we indeed engage in torture. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court which refused to hear the case. In other words, we engage in torture with the full knowledge and approval of the highest Court in the country. But then, according to Justice Scalia, not everything odious is covered by the Constitution or for that matter by Treaties we should but do not honor. In other words we torture with the full knowledge of the Supreme Court. --- SURPRISE!, as it turns out, there ARE still a few in Government that have a problem with torture, Susan Crawford for one. She is the one responsible to give the green light to prosecute terrorists.
Susan Crawford was asked in an interview by the Washington Post about the case of the suspected 20th hijacker in the 9/11 attack. She answered as quoted by Rachel Maddow that she is not going to give her OK to prosecute Al-Qhatani because his admission was obtained by torture. - - - Is it just me or is there a more relaxed attitude? Lets listen to Cheney for a moment in an interview conducted by Jonathan Karl of ABC, asking whether Cheney knew about the torture of Khalid Sheikh Mohamed. He now not only admits that there is torture but that it is very effective. Say what? He knew about torture? Was that a war crime confession? Maybe that is why Huffington Post claims that Cheney expects a pardon from Bush. --- Why torture at all? Inflicting pain? Why? There are much better means around I am not going to mention here but that have been described in detail back in the 60s and 70s.
Mathew Alexander not his real name published a book entitled HOW TO BREAK A TERRORIST in which he describes some methods to get information from detainees without torture. Well, in the words of Rachel Maddow: What a Legacy! I hope we will remember when the next Bush comes around and wants to get us whacked.
