Peace!

Happy Birthday, Andrea!
Have you opened all of your presents yet? Are you sure?
Well, here are another three that you might have missed:

i) An invitation to join an interesting group on MyPeace.tv:

It is a group open to both women and men, but with an emphasis on women's issues within the Peace movement. To join, all you have to do is use the above link, then click on "Join♥♥♥PEACE♥for♥Women♥♥♥” at the bottom of the page.

ii) An invitation to join another group (well… it’s better than getting X sets of handkerchiefs, isn’t it?):
Sencillamente, Paz (a group for exchange of ideas, mutual support, whatever, in Spanish).

iii) And - of course - The World March for Peace and Nonviolence (See also here
Now, many people get the wrong idea about this march. They see its name and think that it’s all about a march. But it’s about much more. It’s about weaving a whole FABRIC of activities to promote Peace, all over the World. It doesn’t matter if the actual marchers don’t come within 1,000 miles of where you are. By organising ANY activity: a talent show, a karaoke evening, a session of bingo, a day in the park with face-painting (ecological paints, please) and other activities for children, conferences, seminars - where the theme is Peace - wherever you are, you become part of the March. We’re going to make it into the biggest demonstration of public opinion the World has ever seen

And it's important to remember that we don't have to wait until the international group sets out from New Zealand in October. Activities have already been started all over the World. The more activities we organise, the more difficult it will be for the Media to ignore the phenomenon. Make sure you call the local Press, Radio, and Television to come and cover the story (and announce it beforehand so that more people will show up). And inform that official web-site of your local efforts You can download the official logo from their documents page and paint or print it onto a large sheet to use at your activities.

If you have the energy and time, you could organise an activity for every week at the same time and same place. For example, a group hug or a human chain that - every week - grows longer...
