12seconds for Peace Comment by 12seconds for Peace on August 27, 2010 at 8:12am
Dear friends,

12seconds for Peace is a new collaborative video arts project that is asking for people around the world to contribute a 12 second long video on the theme of peace - whatever that means to them - to add to this global video collage.

I am inviting all of you to take a look at the work that is coming in from all over the planet and grit your teeth if you do not want to show your emotions as this work is truly moving...people everywhere are collecting together on this project and letting the world know that they want peace in the world.

12seconds for Peace is rapidly becoming a global phenomenon and you are invited to add your voice - your face - your desire for peace to this project. You can find more details on my profile page or you can check out our blog at: http://www.12seconds4peace.blogspot.com

I do believe that there is scope for 12seconds for Peace to work collaboratively with Imagine This through the input of voices of ordinary people from around the world as they gather on this project.

This is our first compilation video showing some of the videos that have so far come in to the project:

I have lots of imaginary stories to tell the wider audience. Therefore, a volunteer animator wanted for small projects to improve communication and dissemination of the good news in cooperation with www.peace365.org

"We are a network of filmmakers and storytellers, activists and environmentalists, inventors and engineers, doctors, artists and many others dedicated to creating sustainable, life-altering projects for communities around the globe."
...
I wouldn't here leave other words besides those of yours, but...
I'm glad to be able to join such a dream.
Ever before imagined, never yet came true.
Well, those I mine.
Let me put back yours I admired, this way I pardon my dairy action by doubleing your creation:
"We are a network of filmmakers and storytellers, activists and environmentalists, inventors and engineers, doctors, artists and many others dedicated to creating sustainable, life-altering projects for communities around the globe."

Although there are many wonderful ideas to vote on, I would love to see more change for the Lakota men and women. My vote goes to "Wounded Knee."

Quote of the Moment:

‎"One of the great liabilities of history is that all too many people fail to remain awake through the great periods of social change. Every society has its protectors of status quo and its fraternities of the indifferent who are notorious for sleeping through revolutions. Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change."
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
